Artist Statement: “Necessity” is a sculpture piece made from terracotta modeling clay and painted with acrylic paint. The blades are made of cardboard to contrast the thickness of the handles to create a realistic feel to the work. This piece is a symbolic representation of my most vital tool, the ability to cut away negativity.
