Artist Statement: This portrait is really an expression of my struggle and the things I have been through as a teenager and having a darker skin pigmentation. I have always struggled with my identity because of bullying and trying to fit in. After seeing a friend’s artwork, and creatives worldwide using their artwork as a platform to speak about everyday things that I too experience. I wanted to take my own shot at it. Although identity is my inspiration its not the only meaning behind the photo so I labeled it undecided, which also symbolizes identity crisis
