Artist Statement: These photos have all been taken outside in my neighborhood. I know that I live in a dangerous city, but I also wanted to show the beauty in it while sticking with a dark tone. I am a big fan of dark colors especially black and white because it accentuates the small details without using bright and bold colors. Dark toned colors also helps develop a story about an image. Even darkness can be beautiful.
