School: Rogers Elementary
Materials: Cotton, monoprint, embroidery floss, silver
Dimensions: 7″ diameter each
Artist Statement: In an effort to not forgot the small things that matter greatly, I started to save the notes my son would leave around the house. Some were written for me, some were reminders for himself. To spend time in each moment the note symbolized, I embroidered the words, following the handwriting of my son which I had transferred on the fabric. The colored square was printed on the fabric to mimic a post-it note, which most of the original notes were written on.
