Artist Statement:
Some ideas I was visualizing while creating this piece was adding a thinking bubble. Inside the bubble are several screenshots of daily phone usages, connecting to how electronic devices have made us shut out from reality. Next, adding several images of myself looking outside a window, creating a feeling of confusion, loneliness, sadness. This helped me create the effect that social Isolation has on mental health and how people may feel stuck. Especially now how many teenagers like me feel stuck inside during this pandemic. And finally adding and blurring prison bar over the whole image to help create the feeling of confinement, shut off from the outside world.
