Artist Statement: In this art piece, I wanted to express problems on Earth in a metaphoric way. I then realized that America is quite like Wonderland, in the sense that it seemed like this amazing place at first, but the more she experiences it, the more issues and flaws arise. I wanted to express that, in the imagery that Alice is a person just experiencing the “American Dream” and that the Cheshire cat is like all of the problems within America and frankly all over the world, and using the fact that the Cheshire cat appears in random places in the story and arises problems.
