Artist Statement: My oeuvre is a manifestation of my portrayal of the values of a family. As I mature, I realize the importance of family more. Throughout adolescence, I have grasped the values of my family. Those values have amalgamated in me and formed me into the person I am today. The fourth and final piece is titled “Unidad” because it represents unity. This piece was inspired by my aunts who always stick together no matter the circumstance. Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.
