Artist Statement: What makes someplace your home? The city of Chicago has shaped me in more ways than I can count, and it continues to shape and develop my character every day that I live here. That is why, in this piece, Home, I wanted to embody the beauty of this city and how it connects all of us. This concrete jungle is a place where people of many differences come together in peace and in chaos, where we move together in beautiful madness. At first glance the city looks peaceful and picturesque behind a sunset, but when you look closer your gaze can get caught up in the busy ines and cluttered aspects that make up our beloved city.
