Artist Statement: First, I got colored paper and folded each one into 32 pieces and cut out the pieces. After that I folded each piece into tiny triangles and used those to make the parakeet. I only used colored paper and scissors to make this. I am inspired by my 3 parakeets (one of them is passed away). people should care because it shows how they should appreciate the amount of time work and detail that went into the project. It represents the parakeet that passed away because I used the colors that he was. It communicates that you should never take your pets for granted. it is unique and special because it is like a memorial for the parakeet that passed away. It means love to me because I loved my parakeet and he loved me back.
