Artist Statement: This piece is titled “Raggedy Ann”. It’s a representation of myself. The stitches and patches represent my interests and the things I indulge in, sometimes hurting myself in the process. I sew myself up when an interest dies down, or when a new one comes along. I’m a frankenstein of everything and everyone I love. I titled it “Raggedy Ann” because I sew myself up, like a rag doll. But also because I adore Raggedy Ann and Andy.
