Artist Statement: “Art is unpredictable. You are never able to tell precisely how it will turn out. When I sit down to create a piece, I never know exactly how it will look. However, I am able to create guidelines. I can apply a certain technique or pick the colors used, but I never know how the colors will mix and merge to create something new, until it is complete.
That’s my favorite part about art. The mystery, the thrill. Never knowing what the piece will look like until it is finished. The feeling you get when watching a masterpiece form before your very eyes. The feeling you get, knowing you have the power to shape the future of the piece. It’s indescribable, unexplainable, truly something to behold.”
