Artist Statement: I want to create a sense of unbalance and make the viewer feel almost overwhelmed with the amount of things going on in the piece. In doing so I want to understand going through these mixed emotions. I realized the conflicting emotions an individual could have in regards to their life which is why Sonder is a feeling we tend to not experience. In this piece I was to convey those conflicting emotions in taking hold of your life but also opening your mind to the world around you. In this piece I want to mix positive and negative emotions through symbolism. As well as explore “Main character syndrome”
