Artist Statement:
Flowers have always been one of my favorite nature plants. Roses have always been one of my favorite flowers. They are just so beautiful when they bloom, and they can represent so many things depending on their color. The title was inspired by the album written by The Smashing Pumpkins, one of my favorite bands. The kaleidoscope effect done in this image came out perfectly with the rose petals and buds of the flower, and the blue background of the image made me think of teardrops. Many images seem to put roses and tears together, hence the title made it sound perfect.
