In this showcase for Theatre Arts, you will see students explore self and delve into character study through the exploration of monologues from Language of Angels, by Naomi Iizuka. The student performers will also showcase their exploration of camera angles and lighting as a means to establish relationships and characterization as well, through the monologues. Students will then showcase relationships, character arcs, and character development through scenes from By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, by Lynn Nottage. Finally, students will dive into the themes of both works, and showcase their haiku and “Dear ____” Letters as a culminating reflection.
