In this showcase, students in Music Theory demonstrate their progress and exploration of musical analysis and performance through singing and written work. We use singing and writing as a way to strengthen the foundations of our understanding of musical construction. Our showcase this year consists of student compositions written with strict parameters as well as a prepared solfege (Do, Re, Mi, etc.) for the 4 part choral work, Angel’s Story by Arthur H. Mann.
Teaching Artist: Jordan Kamps. CPS Teacher: Jacob Fjare, Lincoln Park High School.
