Artist Statement: Through staged and documentary photos I’m capturing the effects my dad’s substance abuse and eventual death had on my family and my life. Growing up, I felt like I couldn’t talk about my dad due to no one else being able to feel what I felt. Now I’m able to share my story of being with him and what it was like for me after my dad passed away.
