Artist Statement: This piece was created with the theme of Afrofuturism. The lines on the buildings were made to resemble the patterns of African textiles. The piece represents that there can and will be a better day for African-Americans in the future. No person will receive hate for exhibiting their culture, and everyone can live to be their true selves.
