Artist Statement: I chose to title my artwork Fading because of the pattern it shows. My focus for this artwork was to create a pattern through the use of line and color. The reduction is seen from right to left, which is seen by how the lines appear to disappear and the yellows fade away. I used thick blue embroidery floss for the outline of the ornament, yellow to represent the lights, and grey French knots to represent sparks. Tonal shift in the yellows is seen due to there being many yellows.
