Artist Statement:
Derrick G. created his work from an assignment that started out as a drawing for Pokemon characters. He veered away from those characters and chose to use an evolved Sonic The Hedgehog of his own designs. He started with a ‘Smiley Face’ off-center page, then expounded on the work of his art. He likes using crayons to complete most of his drawings. He takes his time and seems to think about it through drawing on top of his doodles.
