The Words of August Wilson [Spring 2021]

Here you’ll see each ensemble member perform a monologue from August Wilson’s Century Cycle Plays. He had a skill for writing the everyday hero and creating rich dialogue. After monologue prep and coaching sessions, every student submitted to the 2021 Annual August Wilson Competition. We were ecstatic to have THREE out of the fifteen semi-finalists from all over Chicago come from our classroom! Congratulations to Laylah, Donald, and Patrianna!
