The 1 to 9 Heads Challenge [Winter 2021]

Students played with essential elements of animated character design in this project. SQUASHING and STRETCHING. What happens to that figure if we STRETCH it out and SQUASH it down? First-Year students created a character for this project and drew the character at different height intervals, squashing the entire figure into a single head height, all the way to stretching the figure out to be 9 heads tall! This project forces students to SQUASH their qualms about differing body types and helps them STRETCH their character design abilities!
