Artist Statement:
For this piece I studied the artwork of Jean-Michel Basquiat. I chose to create a ceramic sculpture that is inspired by his graffiti style and also includes my love of music. I used a coil process to create my vessel and carved into it. I also added acrylic graffiti art to the sides.
