Grade: 11
Materials: Colored pencil on paper; alcohol markers
Dimensions: 19 x 12
Artist Statement:
This piece is an artistic rendition of what it feels like to have social anxiety. Based on the metaphor of having ‘frogs in my throat’, I drew myself with exactly that; feeling unable and scared to speak while everyone else around me seems to be able to speak their mind freely.
