Artist Statement: This artwork has been created using a found photo. With the process of the work, I have practiced multiple times with the relied prints. Each time I would reduce the image on the styrofoam and add a new color of paint. This adds more attention to the details. The meaning of this piece is within the colors, as the background of nature has red and the skin of the two individuals is orange. The purpose to this was to use warm colors to enhance the living things in the image, as the colors of the objects (clothing) is green. The warm tones overpower the cool tones. The intention of this work for the viewers is for them to focus on nature more focusing on what is materialistic, hence the title “Set on Nature”. It illustrates the importance of nature.
