Description: Taken at the Shedd Aquarium. It is interesting to me how it looks like it is suspended in a dark void rather than an aquarium.
Artist Statement: What inspired me to take these pictures is simply my love for the city of Chicago. I took these pictures in the Shedd Aquarium, Art Institute, and public parks to show how Chicago is more than just its famous skyscrapers. I like to travel to different sides of the city and capture moments that I think would make people say, “Where is that?” when the answer is always “Chicago”. My favorite part about this entire process is that it allows me to explore my city, while also making other people want to experience the same thing. To me, these pictures are a chance to expose others to the place I call home. When people see my pictures I want them to feel like they are actually in them.
