Description: I used a found photo, printed a copy of it in black and white, and using the edge of a pen I traced the image into styrofoam attempting to imprint it and create deep lines. I then took this piece of styrofoam and rolled different color paints onto it, then placing this down on paper. The image was then recreated in a different way and I continued to cut out more pieces of the styrofoam and use different colors until I ended with the black. I enjoy the ability to differentiate the ripples of the water from the rest of the piece, the blue is not extremely prominent but its vibrance in between the orange, pink, and black allow it to attract ones eyes and help emphasize other things around it. I want the focal point of the piece to be the dog in the center. Which in my opinion represents the simplicity in many things that may at times be clouded by the extremities around it. The dog stands out and is to be more focused on compared to the minor pieces that may cloud your view.
