Description: A Blue Dasher dragonfly sitting on one of the most excellent shaped plants found in America, the Three-square Bulrush. Triangular in structure, they in and of themselves can be fantastic to photograph, but a dragonfly such as this looking as if it’s levitating on the harshly lit rush is incredible.
Artist Statement: I’ve been a person inclined to study the natural world for as long as I can remember. From me at a very young age going to the Field Museum with a pen and notebook and drawing all of the little things I saw, to present day with a professional camera setup photographing any and all wildlife, I love it all. I recently have found a passion for all-around photography. Cars, people, architecture, you name it, I’ll do my best to encapsulate the art that my subjects are.
