In this Spring Showcase, Advanced Drawing and Painting is exhibiting its students’ Portfolio Work — independent studies of their sustained investigations. Moving on from the foundational work that was done during the first half of the year, students utilized both technique and ideation to create a small portfolio of their sustained investigations- a series of work, related by style and concept, in the subject and medium(s) of their choosing. In addition to this, we included a gallery of Selected Works, to highlight particular successes that fall outside of the portfolio work, but are no less amazing.

Teaching Artist: Alex Goldin. CPS Teacher: Marjorie Boyles, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School.
