Artist Statement: The material used to create this still life was water color. In my still life the objects included are my water bottle, headphones, and lip gloss. I think these objects reflect my culture in the sense that these are my everyday items, I can’t recall a single day in all four years of my high school experience that i haven’t had all these items with me. They are completely necessary for me to get through my day. I listen to music all the time whether it be at school or at home and it’s very important to me. After walking up and down the stairs of Lane tech all day water is always a necessity, and it never hurts to have lip gloss around.
