Artist Statement: My art is heavily inspired by children books and the way that the imagery allows for complex topics to be visualized and easily digestible. I am always influenced by the core years of growing up and how the things that children experience can often clash with the previous notions they have about the way things work. I often find myself wondering if the way I perceive the world around me will suffice and that results in small doodles on the sides of my notebooks in class, influencing my final pieces.
