Artist Statement:

In this piece I explore the representation of a non-tangible element—movement—through time and space. In my work, I use my body as a tool for mark-making, guiding large amounts of impasto-textured paint with my arms and fingers. By mixing paint with sand and plaster of Paris, I create raised surfaces that capture the physicality of movement, allowing the marks to extend beyond the canvas. This process reflects the memory of movement itself, preserving the fleeting and intangible through texture and form.
