Artist Statement:
This piece explores the effect of color layering of earth tones, including browns, deep greens, and blues. The artist plays with color tone through water dilution and overlaying, creating a unique color palette and utilizing a variety of acrylic application methods. Rain Forest encourages the viewer to interpret the feeling of water’s interaction with self, with the environment, and note how the interaction changes us, allowing us to merge with rain, with nature. This is Rain Forest.
