Artist Statement:
My name is Shreya. I am an eighth grader at Harriet Tubman Elementary School. In this art piece, I drew an image from the movie, “Wicked.” I strongly connect with this movie that was adapted from the musical and the book. I wanted to focus on Variety as my Principle of Design. I used a variety of colors, some light and dull pinks to dark and bright greens. Additionally, I used a variety of mediums to execute my work. I enjoy the contrast that is shown in my drawing. I like to explore different ranges of colors, mediums, and styles like this.
