Artist Statement:
The young author standing in the middle is inspired by the books she reads to write a book of her own. This picture shows her imagination blooming, and as ideas start to plop into her mind she finds herself reaching for a pen and paper making her story come to life. I was inspired to make this piece because I, myself, am a big reader, and although I don’t write much lots of the ideas I get are inspired by the books I read.
