Artist Statement:
The interconnected puzzle pieces of my artwork are intended to depict a kindergarten alphabet chart. However, this alphabet is misplaced and a combination of Croatian and English letters. It portrays my early perspective of the English language, which was extremely altered. The missing pieces depict my lack of understanding, and the feeling of being ‘incomplete’. Just as a puzzle with missing pieces I was struggling to feel complete in my Identity.
