Artist Statement:
This artwork represents single mothers and the hardships that they face raising a child alone. Single mothers often take on the most challenging roles in life and remain underappreciated. Inspired by my sister and her journey of single motherhood, I wanted to capture the unconditional love mothers have for their children. The flowers on the dress are meant to represent the beauty of this bond despite struggle. The green, natural background symbolizes a mother’s nurturing essence.
