Artist Statement:
For a creative writing class I read Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein; the 1818 text”. I was already a fan of gothic horror, but when I learned what it meant to be a Romantic I was captivated a thousand times more. Living a life following your heart; enjoying all life has to offer; refuting industrialization; well now that’s an idea I can get behind. Enthralled by the story of Frankenstein and his monster, I felt to give my interpretation of the gothic horror, Romantic classic.
