Artist Statement:
My piece of art is trying to show more than just a drawing of lips. If you look at it from a different perspective, this drawing represents that one thing about you that makes you different from everyone else. That one piece of you that makes you, yourself. I chose a drawing of lips because it can mean many things, like a secret that is only spilled between two friends, or a pebble hitting a dark pond that causes color to spread. I’m personally very proud of this piece, and I hope others care to look under the surface and see the deeper meaning of this drawing.
