Artist Statement:
This prints depicts my grandparents’ lake house that my family and I used to go to in the summer. I essentially grew up with the association that this house equals summer, and now that my grandparents no longer have the house, I wanted to pay homage to it and the wonderful memories I made there. To create the design, I added the two figures, being me and my cousin, to a photo I found of the walkway down to the dock of the house. I purposefully positioned us with our backs turned to show the reminiscence of something that we no longer have but can still cherish together.
