Artist Statement: In this investigation, I aimed to explore how observing a nighttime view evokes feelings of calmness and allows individuals to momentarily disconnect from the chaos of the world. My intention was to capture the serenity and beauty that comes from being present in such moments, where the overwhelming nature of daily life fades away. To symbolize this sense of freedom and peace, I incorporated butterflies as metaphors for liberation. Additionally, I used Aquilegia Caerulea (Colorado blue columbine) to represent natural beauty and resilience, reinforcing the connection between nature’s strength and its calming effects.
