My project consists of a mirror with a painting of me looking into a bathroom mirror, confronting a younger version of myself—fragmented and distant—while a snake weaves around the frame. This piece represents the way dreams blur the boundaries between who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming. Dreams often reflect our deepest transformations, where past versions of ourselves linger like echoes, fractured yet present.
The snake embodies renewal, much like how dreams allow us to shed past experiences, revealing new layers of identity. Just as a snake must shed its skin to grow, we, too, must release parts of ourselves—memories, fears, and regrets—to evolve. The broken mirror speaks to the way dreams distort reality, reminding us that even when we feel shattered, we are still whole, changed but never lost. Like glass, we may crack and reform, but our essence remains unbroken, continuously shifting toward something new.
