Artist Statement:
Through this work, I wanted to show the fleeting nature of being young. As a teenager, I’ve come to realize that all the fun that can be had, should be before I can no longer see my friends everyday and my worries become ever more persistent and adult. In using the shadows of my friends, I am representing the momentary essence that comes with being a teenager, with every moment passing by without realization. In my work, I hope to encourage other teenagers to truly enjoy life before they can no longer.
