Artist Statement: Growing up we tend to lose our sense of childhood. My childhood was a vibrant tapestry of colors, shapes, and endless imagination. My sustained investigation for my work focuses on going back to our childhood and how it is shown and lives through us as we grow up. I strive to recapture the wonder and innocence of childhood, reflecting on how our younger dreams and aspirations have an impact on who we are as a people today. Through my work, I invite others to see the world through the eyes of a child and reimagine what life would be like to follow through with them.
