Artist Statement: All of my artwork was made for projects within my Honors Digital Imaging I class at Lane Tech High School. While all projects were constructed digitally, using programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom, and Adobe, my teacher gave us a lot of autonomy regarding where our creativity would take our projects. A lot of my inspiration came from “High Fashion”, or “Runway” prints that I came across on pinterest or Instagram. I was able to combine different prints and Images that I felt reflected my personality as an individual. I enjoyed working with all of these digital mediums because it enhanced skills that I can use in other areas of my life. For one, I am a coxswain at The Chicago Rowing Foundation and run our Women’s team Instagram page. I have found specifically that the skills that I have developed under these projects have helped me advance and market our team instagram page entirely. Moreover, these skills have allowed me to develop an interest in Marketing as a whole which I will hopefully continue to pursue at a higher-level.
