Artist Statement:
My name is Caitlyn Shane and I am a junior at Lane Tech High School. I have previously not been the most artistic person, but deciding to take the photography class at lane has really allowed me to explore my creativity and find my artistic side. I am mostly into photographing colorful and bright images as seen through this piece: Art in Nature. This photo took place in Lane’s Aquaponics Lab which is a great location filled with colorful plants and fish. I loved the coloring on these leaves and wanted to capture the beauty in natural objects. Overall, I think this photo exemplifies my favorite aspects of photography
