Artist Statement:
My work, “Still Life after Dark”, explores the connections between dreamscapes and reality, and questions our concepts of what we think is correct. Made by layering acrylics on paper, my goal is to lead the viewer to rethink how they see the objects around them. My composition brings life to the everyday and the ordinary, and I hope that observers draw their own conclusions about the depiction from what they know.
