Artist Statement:
Multi-media, Watercolor background with the figure on the right drawn in colored pencil. The materials and concept used in general were inspired by the longing feeling I am coping with when looking back on past memories, shining light on the loss of time between me and my father. I utilized watercolor, as well as a black and white color scheme, to give both my father and the background a more foggy and faded feeling as I referenced both of those from a photo in 2018. I drew myself in blue colored pencil to make myself pop compared to the rest of the composition.
