Artist Statement: My work focuses on the colors and the light displayed throughout life. Rather than fleeting moments, I want to capture still objects overlooked in our daily lives and busy schedules. I dream of seeing my current self fit into varying environments and time frames where certain situations like women wearing suits weren’t as socially acceptable. My main focus is to take the audience into that emotion and place in time, whether it’s me or my surroundings representing a timeless aspect of nature. I hope that on the surface level, someone can appreciate the aesthetics of my photography but also contemplate them considering my constant thinking of societal matters.
