Description: This piece is about how the government censors books because of their topics and themes. The book I have on my lino print is titled 1984 by George Orwell. This book is really controversial and has been banned in many states. Another inspiration was Farenheight 451 by Ray Bradbury because in the story books are burned. The phrase Books Unite Us, Censorship Divides Us is from an organization, and I picked this phrase because books help us understand a different point of view and perspective. Censoring books prevents us from understanding someone else’s experience. As a book lover, books give me a sense of understanding of how people live.
