Artist Statement: For the artwork that I submitted, I was inclined to make them for a school assignment. This does not mean that I just made art just to make it. For every piece, I made sure to have enough passion to include meanings and do a topic that I was passionate about. Specifically Film. I love film and although I cannot do that so I did something film adjacent, and got a group of people to model a scene from my script, and I took photographs of it. My artist process mostly consist of thinking about what I’m passionate about and my personal ideology, and finding ways to create a story of it through art. This often leads me to do more ambitious projects. Using my phone camera is great because it’s cheap, easily accessible, and always on me so I can do stuff on the go. My experiences contribute to my art because it gives for a more genuine piece.
